{Pinterest Extras}

Love Pinterest as much as I do?  A few things I've come across regarding Pinterest this week are:

A:) Whats your Pin Clout? Pinreach.com is a handy little site that lets you know your Pinterest Influence and gives you a PinClout score.  It also analyses your boards and lets you know your re-pin count, 'like' count and a breakdown of your most popular boards.

There is also links on the home page to the days top trending pinners and the Top 30 trending pinners. Whats your Pin Clout?

B:)  Want to get the most out of your Pinterest?  About to be rolled out is Pinerly which is being promised as the easiest way to manage your Pinterest account and make sense out of it - perfect for brands and users who are looking to get the most out of their Pinterest account.  From what I've seen so far it looks pretty cool!

{New Social Media Icon Buttons}

This post should really be titled 'I'm Easily Distracted!'  I sat down earlier this evening with every intention to catch up on my blog reading, but got distracted by Caroline over at the blog c.w.frosting where I saw her post on making your own Social Media Icons (here) - which lead me to a tutorial by little becky homecky.

I love all the different styled buttons that are around, but I wanted some that were more personalized for me (plus I couldn't find a Pinterest one!).

So after a few hours work, Ta Daa!

Not bad for my first effort, and they could probably do with a little tweaking, but I'm pretty much happy with them.  And they are 'me' icons as they are heart shaped.  I just haven't figured out how to organise properly, ie put four on one row and three one the other - but that's for another night!

So thank you c.w.frosting and little becky homecky- I have had an unplanned, very productive Sunday evening.

{Saturday Morning at the Markets}

There is nothing better than spending Saturday morning at the local markets.  I love wandering up and down the aisles of fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, jewellery, shells and bits and bods.

As you walk around the sweet smell of the freshest fruit makes your mouth water, and you end up sampling quite a few!

I'm usually mesmerized by the whole sight, smell and taste that I usually wander around the markets 2 or 3 times before deciding what to buy for the week.

Sometimes I even come across things I've never heard of or tried before.

Something that did catch my eye this morning was this beautiful and quite heavy amethyst geode.  If only I had a spare couple of hundred I could have brought this and snuck it home and told hubby "We've had it for ages"!!!

But pictures like these conjure up a thousand questions for me.

What does the rest of the boat look like, where is it going, where has it been, is it a real houseboat, who made it, who are the owners, do they sail the world in this beautiful boat, or does it sit in a harbor somewhere ready for weekend parties, can I come and have a look, maybe stay a few days, where can I get one, can I have one pretty please??
